Basketball Recap: Sperry Comes Up Short

Sperry lost to Kiefer back in December of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pirates came up short against the Trojans, falling 62-40. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 274th, while the Trojans are ranked 52nd).

Sperry's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Kiefer, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-2.

Looking ahead, Sperry won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Berryhill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kiefer, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Cushing at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
