Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chattahoochee). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 70-68 win over the Excel Christian Academy Eagles on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since January 9th.

When it comes to explaining why Excel Christian Academy lost, don't look at DaMir McBride. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 22 points and 11 steals. With that strong performance, McBride is now averaging an impressive 4 steals per game. Mier Bell was another key player, going 7-for-9 on his way to 17 points.

Chattahoochee's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Excel Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
