Volleyball Recap: Aubrey Rogers Victorious

Aubrey Rogers won the last time they faced Palmetto Ridge and things went their way on Thursday too. The Patriots walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bears. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Aubrey Rogers was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 24-26, 25-21, 25-22.

Aubrey Rogers found their leader in sophomore Emilee Domain, who had 15 digs and two aces. Those 15 digs set a new season-high mark for Domain. Adeline Sundall also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Aubrey Rogers was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 2.5 aces per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 15.

Aubrey Rogers' victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Palmetto Ridge, they dropped their record down to 4-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aubrey Rogers will host Barron Collier at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Palmetto Ridge, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Immokalee at 7:30 p.m.
