Volleyball Game Preview: Brandon Valley Lynx vs. Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles

The Brandon Valley Lynx will challenge the Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brandon Valley is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.

Brandon Valley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Dakota's top teams: Dakota Valley, who was ranked second at the time (Brandon Valley was ranked third). The Lynx put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday.

While Brandon Valley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-16, 25-19.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Aberdeen Central and O'Gorman, and Aberdeen Central kept the tradition alive. The Golden Eagles blew past the Knights 3-0 on Monday.

Aberdeen Central was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-14, 25-19.

Aberdeen Central's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Brandon Valley, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
