Recap: Southeast Cyclones vs. Kaycee Buckaroos

The Southeast Cyclones entered their tilt with the Kaycee Buckaroos with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Southeast walked away with a 53-41 victory over Kaycee on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Southeast also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southeast to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ayden Desmond, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Desmond has scored at least 25% of Southeast's points. Another player making a difference was Ayden Shimic, who scored ten points.

Southeast's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points per game. As for Kaycee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Southeast won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hulett at 10:30 a.m. on December 16th. Kaycee's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lingle-Fort Laramie at 11:30 p.m. on December 15th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Lingle-Fort Laramie is ranked 30th, while Kaycee is ranked 43rd).
