Baseball Recap: King Takes a Loss

King had lost five straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 8-16 to make it six. They fell 15-10 to the Centennial Huskies. That's two games in a row now that the Wolves have lost by exactly five runs.

Ryker Galvan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. James Mejia was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

As for Centennial, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-7. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

On Centennial's side, Joseph Malki looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Devin Bishop, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Almaraz, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Coming up, King will square off against Temescal Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Centennial, they will face off against Ayala at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
