Suffolk Christian Academy posted their closest victory yet this season on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Great Hope Baptist and snuck past 37-35.
Suffolk Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Luke Ott out in front who scored 17 points along with three steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Ott has scored at least a third of Suffolk Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Grayson Hampton, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, New Life Academy had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.9 points), and they went ahead and made it ten on Monday. They walked away with a 52-39 win over Victory Christian.
New Life Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dontrel Lee, who scored 23 points. Lee hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Dunn, who scored 12 points.
Suffolk Christian Academy's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-14. As for New Life Academy, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Suffolk Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 64-39 loss they got from New Life Academy in their previous matchup on January 8th.
