Basketball Recap: Carter Cohen Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Bothell

There's no place like home for North Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They strolled past the Bothell Cougars with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 69-53. The Jaguars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

North Creek's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carter Cohen, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 boards. Cris Bonicillo was another key player, going 7 for 11 on his way to 17 points in addition to five assists and five boards.

The victory got North Creek back to even at 6-6. As for Bothell, they dropped their record down to 5-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

North Creek will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mercer Island at 7:15 p.m. North Creek has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Bothell, they will challenge Sammamish at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Sammamish's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
