Basketball Recap: Mercer Triumphs

Mercer lost to Iroquois back in February of 2017, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Mercer Mustangs walked away with a 56-45 win over the Iroquois Braves.

Despite the loss, Iroquois still got an impressive performance from Kellen Burroughs, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Burroughs has become a key player for Iroquois: the team is 7-3 when he posts at least ten boards, but 3-11 otherwise. Roman Caporale was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Mercer now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Iroquois, their loss dropped their record down to 10-14.

As of now, neither Mercer nor Iroquois have any future games scheduled.
