It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but DePaul College Prep ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Amundsen Vikings 7-5. The Rams' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Gavin Glibowski looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Charlie Pribyl was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jack Gibson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

DePaul College Prep's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Amundsen, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DePaul College Prep will venture away from home to take on Riverside-Brookfield at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Amundsen, they will head out to challenge Brooks at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
