North Shore had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They claimed a resounding 54-27 victory over the Cypress Falls Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won nine games by 24 points or more so far this season.

A big part of North Shore's win came down to the chemistry between Kaleb Maryland and his top target Jaylen Bocard. Maryland threw for 170 yards and three touchdowns while Bocard picked up 110 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Maryland's passing game has become a key predictor of North Shore's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Javoris Taylor was in the mix too, providing the Mustangs with two scores.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something North Shore proved: they limited Cypress Falls to a paltry 0.4 yards per carry. The dominant display was nothing new: the Mustangs have now limited their opponent to fewer and fewer yards per carry in three consecutive matchups.

North Shore's record now sits at 11-2. As for Cypress Falls, with the defeat, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-4.

Coming up, North Shore will challenge Dickinson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Maryland and Lorenzo Aguirre. Cypress Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
