Recap: Northridge Raiders vs. Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies

In what's become a running theme this season, the Northridge Raiders gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 59-29 victory over Plymouth at home. Given Northridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Plymouth is ranked 163rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northridge got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gaby Gates out in front who scored 15 points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that Gates scored 15 or more points. Camryn Conley was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with three steals.

Plymouth's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alana Allen, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lena Jones, who scored 11 points along with two steals.

Northridge's win was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-3. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.54 points. As for Plymouth, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Northridge will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Warsaw at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Warsaw's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matchups. As for Plymouth, they will head out on the road to face off against Argos at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
