Recap: Johnson County Trojans vs. Wilkinson County Warriors
The Johnson County Trojans lost against the Wilkinson County Warriors back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Johnson County ended up on the wrong side of a rough 75-49 walloping at the hands of Wilkinson County. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Johnson County in their matchups with Wilkinson County: they've now lost five in a row.
Johnson County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cory King, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points King has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Wright, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Johnson County's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Wilkinson County, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-12.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Georgia Military College the next time they take the court. Johnson County will head out to face Georgia Military College at 8:30 p.m. on Monday, while Wilkinson County will head out to face them at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
