Basketball Recap: Huntington Beach Takes a Loss

Huntington Beach suffered their biggest defeat since January 10th on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 73-42 loss at the hands of the La Habra Highlanders. While losing is never fun, the Oilers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 328th, while the Highlanders are ranked 15th).

Huntington Beach's loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-5. As for La Habra, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Huntington Beach will head out to face off against Laguna Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for La Habra, they will challenge Rolling Hills Prep at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
