Shawnee Mission Northwest had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Tonganoxie Chieftains. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Chieftains, too.

Shawnee Mission Northwest didn't let Tonganoxie take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 26-24.

Shawnee Mission Northwest's offense was headlined by Bo Bronson and Grace Bengfort, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Lilli Weber and her 22 assists. Bronson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Shawnee Mission Northwest's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Tonganoxie, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8-1.
