Soccer Recap: Turner Takes a Loss

On Tuesday, the Turner Lions didn't have quite enough to beat the Lone Star Rangers and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Rangers are ranked 85th).

Turner's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Lone Star, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Lions coming up. As for Lone Star, they will take on Wakeland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Wakeland's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Lone Star's offense will have their work cut out for them.
