Football Game Preview: Eustace Bulldogs vs. Winnsboro Raiders

The Eustace Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Winnsboro Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Eustace is looking for their season's first victory.

Eustace's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Mount Vernon on Friday. They took a blow against the Tigers, falling 55-0. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 1154th, while the Tigers are ranked 419th).

Meanwhile, after only 13 points in their last game, Winnsboro made sure to put some points up on the board against Mineola on Friday. The Raiders enjoyed a cozy 47-30 win over the Yellowjackets. The Raiders pushed the score to 44-23 by the end of the third, a deficit the Yellowjackets cut but never quite recovered from.

Winnsboro's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points over those games. As for Eustace, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Eustace was dealt a bruising 70-7 defeat at the hands of Winnsboro when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bulldogs were down 49-7.
