Softball Recap: Fruitdale Pirates vs. Washington County Bulldogs
After flying high against Chickasaw last Tuesday, Fruitdale came back down to earth. The Fruitdale Pirates fell just short of the Washington County Bulldogs by a score of 14-12 on Friday. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Skylar Loper and Olivia Evans stepped up to the plate in a big way. Loper went 2-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Evans scored a run while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave Evans a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Gracie Robbins, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.
