Volleyball Recap: Tahquitz Takes a Loss

Tahquitz was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Elsinore Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-8, 25-17.

Elsinore's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sharrod Almoite, who had nine digs and seven assists. Those nine digs gave Almoite a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Bermudez, who had eight digs and two aces.

Tahquitz's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Elsinore, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-5.

Coincidentally, Tahquitz and Elsinore will both be playing West Valley the next time they take the court. The Tigers will host the Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Titans will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
