Baseball Recap: Oakland Tech Snags 11th Victory in Last 14 Games

It's playoff time, and Oakland Tech had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Skyline Titans a 6-0 shutout on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Lee Tshosane was excellent, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dalen Thornton, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run.

Oakland Tech hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive games.

Oakland Tech is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Skyline, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-13.

As of now, neither Oakland Tech nor the Titans have any future games scheduled.
