Football Recap: Carter's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Carter won the last time they faced Roosevelt and Damarion Boozer did his part to make sure it happened again. The Cowboys simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Mustangs 43-0 with plenty of help from Boozer, who rushed for 224 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played.

Carter didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Montraveon Smith and Joshua Parker. Carter got some further help from Brodrick Carrington: he picked up three sacks and made three total tackles.

The win was the third in a row for Carter, bringing their record up to 3-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.3 points over those games. As for Roosevelt, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Carter is set to face off against their familiar foe Kimball at 2:00 p.m. on the 18th. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Boozer and Charles McCuin. Meanwhile, Roosevelt will take on rival Conrad at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th.
