Basketball Recap: Pahrump Valley Takes a Loss

The Pahrump Valley Trojans came up short against the Round Mountain Knights on Friday, falling 54-33.

It was another big night for Ava Faga, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds for Round Mountain. Faga is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Layla Faga, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 12 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.

Pahrump Valley dropped their record down to 10-13 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Round Mountain, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-7.

Pahrump Valley will face off against Boulder City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Boulder City will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Pahrump Valley surely won't give up without a fight. Round Mountain has already played their next game, a 50-18 win against Beatty on the 25th.
