Volleyball Game Preview: Westlake Thunder vs. Copper Hills Grizzlies + Official Tickets

Westlake is 0-5 against Copper Hills since November of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Thunder will take on the Grizzlies at 6:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Westlake came up short against Mountain Ridge and fell 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 24-26, 25-19, 25-10.

Despite the loss, Westlake had strong showings from Leiema Fano, who had six digs and two aces, and Kamylle Te'o, who had 15 kills, seven digs, and one block. Chaise Achermann also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Meanwhile, Copper Hills posted their closest victory since September 23rd on Tuesday. They skirted past Riverton 3-2.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Copper Hills who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-23, 22-25, 25-19, 21-25, 15-13.

Westlake's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Copper Hills, their win bumped their record up to 8-17.

Westlake suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Copper Hills when the teams last played back in September. Can the Thunder avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
