Volleyball Recap: Lexington Christian Eagles vs. Bryan Station Defenders

Lexington Christian lost against Bryan Station back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Defenders. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Defenders 25-20 in the first set.

Lexington Christian started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-19, 25-16, 25-18.

Hailey Jude paced Lexington Christian's offense, picking up ten kills. Jude got some help from Madeleine Eubank and her 16 assists. Eubank also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kitty Meade, racking up two apiece.

Bryan Station found their leader in sophomore Lily Howard, who had 14 digs and five assists.

Lexington Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Lexington Christian will take on Scott County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bryan Station, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Rhea County on the 22nd.
