Downey moved up to 255 from 332 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in San Gabriel Valley. A 31-21 win over Oxnard helped the Vikings improve their standing.
Paramount was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in the league. The Pirates vanquished Millikan 61-7 earlier in the week.
Gahr's dynamic duo of Caleb Baumann and Patrick Enewally proved tough for La Habra to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Baumann threw for 267 yards and Enewally had 86 yards receiving. Christian Pabico helped Gahr's passing attack out by catching four balls for 80 yards.
Matthew Gonzalez was the most productive running back in the league this week. In nine carries, he ran for 112 yards as Downey lost to the Highlanders. Teammate Jorge Reyna added to the ground attack by rushing for 51 yards.
Gahr's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Gladiators feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Baumann has thrown for 1548 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while Pabico has 25 catches for 497 yards. Alex Kline leads the league in rushing with 696 yards.
Paramount took down the Rams 61-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Devonte Dixon in the win.
