Basketball Recap: Van Buren Victorious

Van Buren was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Lamar on Thursday. The Van Buren Bulldogs blew past the Lamar Tigers 70-46.

Van Buren's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Lamar, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Van Buren won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Summersville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lamar, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-46 loss against Van Buren on the 12th.
