Volleyball Recap: Portage Falls to Marion Center in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Portage unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Marion Center Stingers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-18, 25-18.

Calla Miko paced Portage's offense, picking up six kills. Miko got some help from Mya Selapack and her 12 assists. Selapack was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Portage has already played their next contest (against Purchase Line), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Marion Center, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Cambria Heights on the 28th.
