Basketball Recap: Evart Skates Past Marion with Ease

Evart won the last time they faced Marion and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Evart Wildcats blew past the Marion Eagles 76-49. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Dakobe White, who went 6 for 7 on his way to 19 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jett Reedy, who went 6 of 15 en route to 15 points and seven boards.

Evart pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Marion, they moved to 6-4 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Evart and Marion should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Evart (ranked 144th) will meet Northern Michigan Christian (ranked 537th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Evart is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.8 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Marion will take on Crossroads Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday up 396 places (328 vs. 724).
