Football Recap: Mariann Houck's Menacing Defense Leads Celebration over George Jenkins

On Thursday, a win is a win, as they say, even a pretty close 12-7 victory over the George Jenkins Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Storm.

The critical scores for Celebration came from Nayeli Rivera and Julissa Jurome.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Celebration's defense and their seven sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Mariann Houck. Arianna Patterson was another major factor on D, making five total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging two interceptions.

Celebration's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for George Jenkins, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Celebration didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 38-0 victory against Sebring on the 25th. As for George Jenkins, they have also already played their next match, a 78-0 win against McLaughlin on the 27th.
