Softball Recap: Tiverton Has No Trouble Against Shea

Tiverton had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Shea on Tuesday. The Tigers blew past the Raiders 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 13 contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Jersey-Ann Hastie was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Sara Poland, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Tiverton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shea only posted an OBP of .238.

Tiverton's win bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Shea, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-9.

Tiverton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raiders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
