Softball Recap: Morton/White Pass Comes Up Short

Morton/White Pass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 14-2 to the Mossyrock Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 24-1 on Saturday.

Morton/White Pass saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bria Elkins, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base marked the first that Elkins has snagged this season.

Morton/White Pass' defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Mossyrock, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Morton/White Pass is set to face off against their familiar foe Toutle Lake at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mossyrock will challenge rival Winlock at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
