Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dwight Anderson, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Green, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Zymiere Dempsey continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bertie, dropping a double-double on 52 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dempsey has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tequan Holley, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Voyager's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 23-9. As for Bertie, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 26-3 record this season.
Voyager does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bertie, they will head out on the road to square off against Washington County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Washington County is on a four-game streak of home wins, Bertie a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
