Softball Recap: Itawamba Agricultural Beats Tharptown for Their Fourth Straight Win

Itawamba Agricultural put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Tharptown Wildcats. That's more bragging rights for the Indians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Alden Kline made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time she hasn't allowed a single hit since back in February of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Kooper Reese was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. What's more, she also posted two hits, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Adalee Abbott was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Itawamba Agricultural pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Itawamba Agricultural will welcome Tupelo at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tharptown, they will challenge Tishomingo County at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
