Basketball Game Preview: Hill Falcons vs. San Jose Bulldogs

Hill has gone 10-0 against San Jose recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Hill Falcons will look to defend their home court against the San Jose Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Hill knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully San Jose likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Hill earned a 61-52 victory over James Lick.

Ernesto Ochoa and Anthony Sanchez were among the main playmakers for Hill as the former dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds and the latter went 5 for 7 en route to 12 points in addition to six assists and six steals. The matchup was Ochoa's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicolas Huerta, who posted 13 points and six assists.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Hill was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, San Jose was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They lost to Yerba Buena on the road by a 59-45 margin.

San Jose's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Hill, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-14.

Hill took their victory against San Jose in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 74-52. Does Hill have another victory up their sleeve, or will San Jose turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
