Basketball Recap: Claymont Comes Up Short

Claymont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. 2025 welcomed they with a 52-26 loss courtesy of the Indian Valley Braves. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Braves from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Claymont's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Indian Valley, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Claymont will challenge Tuscarawas Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Indian Valley, they will square off against Hiland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hiland will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Indian Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
