Football Recap: Central Noble Comes Up Short

Central Noble lost against LaVille back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cougars were dealt a 42-9 defeat at the hands of the Lancers. The Cougars gained 60 more yards on the day, but it was the Lancers that made the best use of them.

Treyton Fletcher threw for 203 yards and one touchdown. Conner Fish was his top target, picking up 53 receiving yards.

LaVille's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brayden Schwitz, who threw for 143 yards and four TDs, and also punched in one score on the ground. The dominant performance also gave Schwitz a new career-high in rushing yards (16). Cole Stafford was another key back, gaining 75 total yards and two touchdowns.

Central Noble's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for LaVille, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Central Noble wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 35-26 win against Prairie Heights on the 12th. As for LaVille, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-6 defeat against Bremen on the 12th.
