Volleyball Recap: Goddard Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Goddard took on Andover Central on Tuesday. The Lions took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Micah Gillespie paced Goddard's offense, picking up five kills. Gillespie got some help from Madelyn Wilson and her five assists.

Goddard has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season. As for Andover Central, they moved to 21-10 with that victory, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Goddard and Andover will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Andover Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Arkansas City on the 7th.
