While Indianapolis Lutheran put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Speedway. The Saints put the hurt on the Sparkplugs with a sharp 16-0 win. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Sparkplugs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Hudson Mills made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in April.

In other pitching news, Ryan Redding looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Back at the plate, Indianapolis Lutheran got a massive performance out of Masen Phelps, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits Phelps has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Dax Lockliear, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Indianapolis Lutheran kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 8-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Indianapolis Lutheran pushed their record up to 15-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Speedway, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16-1.

Indianapolis Lutheran and Speedway are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Saints will face off against Greenwood Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Indianapolis Lutheran's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Speedway, they will challenge Owen Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for the Sparkplugs and six for the Patriots.
