Softball Recap: Trenton Takes a Loss

Trenton was the 9-4 winner over Carlson when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marauders on Monday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Analy Guth made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Trenton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Carlson, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trenton will venture away from home to challenge Woodhaven at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Carlson, they will head out on the road to take on Roosevelt at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Marauders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season.
