Edsel Ford was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Annapolis on Saturday. The Thunderbirds blew past the Cougars 7-0. The Thunderbirds haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Jacob Kowalsky made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Kowalsky was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Chase Gilbert was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Ian Maness also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

The victory got Edsel Ford back to even at 3-3. As for Annapolis, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Edsel Ford beat the Cougars by a score of 21-1 later that day.
