Football Game Preview: Genoa Area Comets vs. Rossford Bulldogs

The Genoa Area Comets will venture away from home to face off against the Rossford Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Genoa Area has five straight wins, Rossford has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Genoa Area strolled past Oak Harbor with points to spare, taking the game 34-19.

Meanwhile, Rossford had to suffer through a 42-14 loss at the hands of Maumee. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly 28 points.

Rossford's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Genoa Area, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Everything came up roses for Genoa Area against Rossford in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 41-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
