Maplesville has gone 8-2 against Isabella recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 4:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

While Maplesville's win against Billingsley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Maplesville had just enough and edged out Billingsley 12-11 last Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Red Devils have posted since April 4, 2024.

Meanwhile, Isabella had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Central of Coosa County with a sharp 13-3 win last Thursday.

Maleigh Mcgalliard made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Mcgalliard was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aubreigh Davenport, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Natalie Smithermen was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

The victory got Isabella back to even at 4-4. As for Maplesville, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Maplesville skirted past Isabella 6-5 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Does Maplesville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Isabella turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
