Basketball Recap: Indianapolis Bishop Chatard Comes Up Short

Indianapolis Bishop Chatard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 60-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Heritage Christian Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 53-42 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Indianapolis Bishop Chatard still got an impressive performance from Zach Mccormack, who posted ten points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Evan Tomyn, who earned five points and seven rebounds.

Leading Heritage Christian to victory were Caleb Flint and Isaac Arterburn. Flint put up 19 points, while Arterburn went 6 of 12 on his way to 14 points along with five assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Sutton, who had seven points and nine boards.

Indianapolis Bishop Chatard's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Heritage Christian, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Indianapolis Bishop Chatard didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-47 victory against Indianapolis Washington on the 18th. As for Heritage Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 49-48 win against Indianapolis Scecina Memorial on the 21st.
