Baseball Recap: Whitfield Comes Up Short

Whitfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-2 to the Lutheran South Lancers.

Whitfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Walseth, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Whitfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Lutheran South, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whitfield will host Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lutheran South, they will square off against Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
