Basketball Recap: Woburn Memorial Takes a Loss

Woburn Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against the Methuen Rangers, falling 120-54. While losing is never fun, the Tanners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while the Rangers are ranked 90th).

Woburn Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Methuen, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season.

Woburn Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 64-50 defeat against Lynn Classical on the 20th. Methuen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
