Basketball Recap: Wellborn Takes a Loss

Wellborn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 65-11 loss at the hands of the Saks Wildcats. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-4.

Saks found their leader in sophomore Jakailynn Carter, who went 6 for 10 on her way to 15 points.

Wellborn's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Saks, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Wellborn will take on Ohatchee in a holiday battle at at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Saks, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Saks Wildcats duke it out with the Faith Christian Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
