Recap: Hillcrest Huskies vs. Stansbury Stallions
The Hillcrest Huskies were the 73-45 winner over the Stansbury Stallions when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Hillcrest was just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 52-51 to Stansbury. Hillcrest has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Hillcrest had strong showings from Zach Tanner, who scored ten points along with five blocks, and Damani Wilkerson, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. Tanner is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Ezra Bell was another key contributor, scoring five points along with four steals.
Hillcrest has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Stansbury, their win bumped their record up to 4-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillcrest will take on Park City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Park City has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 335 points over their last five contests. As for Stansbury, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Murray at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd.
