Softball Recap: South Fayette's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

It was a good run, but South Fayette unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 15-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Moon Area Tigers. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

South Fayette's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Moon Area, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: South Fayette beat the Tigers by a score of 8-4 on Wednesday.
