Volleyball Recap: Kodiak Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Kodiak lost against Soldotna back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bears came up short against the Stars, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bears have suffered since August 28th.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-19, 25-14.

Aniston Krug paced Kodiak's offense, picking up five kills. Krug got some help from Ava Dela Cruz and her five assists. Angeli Doctolero and Maggie Hubert kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Kodiak has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6-2 record this season. As for Soldotna, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Stars beat Kodiak by a score of 3-0 on Saturday.
