Softball Recap: Bishop Gorman Takes a Loss

Bishop Gorman and Arbor View squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Bishop Gorman had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Aggies by a score of 6-5. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Aggies this season, with their most recent loss being a 7-5 defeat last Tuesday.

CHARLIE SIMI made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. MAKAMAE EUGENIO was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Bishop Gorman and nudges their season record down to 17-13-1. As for Arbor View, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.

Bishop Gorman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Arbor View, they will challenge Shadow Ridge at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. The Aggies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
